At University Children’s Eye Center, we’re always looking for ways to stay at the forefront of pediatric eye care. That’s why our team regularly participates in leading conferences, and we’re still thinking about everything we took away from last month’s AAPOS Annual Meeting 2026.

Hosted by the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, this annual event brings together top specialists from across the country to share the latest research, clinical techniques, and innovations in children’s vision care.

Bringing the Latest Advances Back to Our Patients

Throughout the conference, our team explored new developments in areas that directly impact the children and families we serve every day.

From evolving approaches to myopia management to improved methods for early detection of conditions like keratoconus, the focus remains the same: identifying vision issues early and treating them effectively.

We also engaged with fellow providers to exchange insights, discuss complex cases, and learn about emerging technologies that are shaping the future of pediatric eye care.

Why Ongoing Learning Matters

Pediatric eye care is constantly evolving, and staying current is essential to providing the highest level of care.

Attending conferences like the AAPOS Annual Meeting 2026 allows our team to bring the most up-to-date knowledge and techniques directly into our exam rooms. It’s one of the many ways we ensure that every child we see receives thoughtful, informed, and effective care.

A Continued Commitment to Your Child’s Vision

We’re proud to be part of a broader community dedicated to advancing pediatric eye health—and even prouder to bring those advancements back to our patients here at UCEC.

Because when it comes to your child’s vision, staying current is essential.
